Meet Shelly-Ann
Shelly-Ann Frederic is the Director of Grounded in Change, a consultancy focused on supporting organisations to deliver complex transformation with clarity, alignment and sustained adoption.
With over 20 years of experience working across North America with Fortune 500 organisations – including TC Energy, Hydro One, Bayer Crop Science and the City of Calgary – Shelly-Ann has led change, communications and stakeholder engagement across large-scale, high-profile programmes. Her work includes enterprise-wide system implementations, organisational transformation and initiatives operating within complex, politically sensitive and highly regulated environments.
She partners with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align strategic intent with operational delivery, strengthen stakeholder engagement and proactively identify risks to adoption. Known for navigating complexity with a pragmatic and people-centred approach, Shelly-Ann leads executive workshops, facilitates multi-party stakeholder engagement sessions involving government, regulatory and community groups, while supporting organisations through periods of uncertainty, resistance and competing priorities.
Shelly-Ann holds a Bachelor of Communication from Mount Royal University and has completed advanced training in public participation (IAP2) and conflict resolution. She is also an ICF Certified Coach, bringing a strong foundation in leadership alignment and strategic communications to her work in organisational transformation.
